My Journey
Born and raised at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in Marangu, I grew up with Africa's highest peak as my backyard and playground. My connection to the mountain runs deep – it's not just a place I work, but a part of who I am.
I began my career as a porter in 1998, carrying equipment and supplies for climbers. Through hard work and determination, I worked my way up to become a guide in 2003. Since then, I've successfully led over 200 expeditions to the summit of Kilimanjaro.
In 2010, I founded Peter Tours with a simple mission: to provide authentic, high-quality experiences that showcase the best of Tanzania while supporting local communities and preserving our natural environment.
My extensive knowledge of Kilimanjaro's routes, weather patterns, and unique ecosystems allows me to create safe and memorable experiences for climbers of all skill levels. I'm certified in Wilderness First Aid and am a member of the Kilimanjaro Guides Association.
